The GTA triple remaster took more than two years to build

There are only a few days left until the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition, and fans have realized that it took more than two years to make this product.

Grove Street Games, formerly known as War Drum Studios, has been making Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition for more than two years. The members of this team have a long history of working with the GTA game series . In 2010, for example, they released Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for iOS.

Thomas Williamson , owner and CEO of Grove Street Games, says team members worked hard to build Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition and worked with Rockstar Games along the way. Interestingly, many thought that Rockstar Dundee Studios was working on a remastered Grand Theft Auto III, a remastered Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and a remastered Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. As a result, when we now know that Grove Street Games Studio did the main work, many ask what the Dundee Rockstar subsidiary, which joined the company in 2020, was doing.

Some fans are concerned about the quality of the new remasters due to the quality of some of Grove Street's previous work. Because the company took Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to iOS, Android, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 years ago. But these ports, according to many gamers, were not so satisfying.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition will be released on November 11 for the Xbox X Series , Xbox S Series , PlayStation 5 , Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch. The mobile version will be released as an iPhone game and Android game in 2022. Meanwhile, the process of making a VR version of the GTA San Andreas game for Meta's Achilles Quest 2 virtual reality headset is underway.
